An American writer, born in Norwalk, California, USA. He attended Palisades High School, then Princeton University, and then specialized in writing autobiographies. He also received a Guggenheim Fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation, and wrote the story for the film Making Love, directed by William Wyler.
