An American author, director, and actress. She was born in South Africa and grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After studying literature and performing arts at Harvard University, she worked in theaters in New York State, obtained a fellowship from Columbia University, and then obtained a master’s degree in acting. She starred in many works, such as All God's Creatures (2011), Fabian Debora, a Life for Art (2013), and Everyone Together (2019).
