An American screenwriter and novelist, born in Wingfield, Arkansas, and spent most of her childhood in Louisiana, where her father was a religious preacher. She attended Southern State College (now Southern Arkansas University), and after graduating, she studied languages ​​for several years. Her films include Hallmark Hall of Fame's and A Dog Named Christmas. Her first novel, The Homecoming of Samuel Lake, was published in 2011.
