An American actor of English, German, Scottish and Irish descent, born in Brooklyn, New York, United States. He attended the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts for six months. He made his debut in the series Conviction (2006). He won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series in 2023 for his role in The Bear. He co-wrote, produced, and starred in the short film The Fourth (2008). His credits include Shameless, After Everything, and The Rental.
