A sports journalist who was born in the village of Al-Shin in the Gharbia Governorate on April 8, 1918. He obtained a Bachelor of Law from Cairo University in 1939. He won the Egyptian championship in running and played football at Tersana SC from 1935 to 1939. He worked as a sports critic for Al-Ahram newspaper and sports magazine. Najeeb Al Mestikawy wrote 12 sports books that enriched the Egyptian and Arab Sports Library. He died on July 18, 1993, in Cairo.
