A South Korean actor and model, who grew up in Japan and returned to South Korea at the age of eight. He began his artistic career during high school through the talent discovery program Akdong Club, where he displayed his singing and dancing talent to the rhythms of rock music. Kim studied acting at the Seoul Institute of Arts in Korea, and got his first role in the Korean drama Ruler of Your Own World in 2002. His first film roles were in the movie Monopoly (2006) and then the movie Antique (2008).
