British actress, born in Boksburg, Transvaal, South Africa on May 22, 1910. She debuted her career after winning a beauty contest. She married Edward Bellande (1938-1975) and remained with him until his death. She is known for Alibi Inn (1935), Handle With Care (1935), and The Awful Truth (1937). She died on July 7, 2001 in Brentwood, California, USA.
