John Eric Bartholomew was an English comedian who was born on May 14, 1926, Morecambe, United Kingdom. He is best known for writing the TV series The Morecambe & Wise Show (1968-1977). As an actor, he appeared in Night Train to Murder (1984), The Intelligence Men (1965), and The Magnificent Two (1967). He died on May 28, 1984, in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England, UK.
