A Canadian comedian, born and raised in Westmount, Canada. She studied at a private girls' school in Westmount, then moved to Dalhousie and Arizona Universities in the United States. In 1986, she moved to New York to pursue her artistic career and began acting. She shared the stage with such artists as Chris Rock and Louis CK. She debuted in a stand-up show filmed on MTV, Half-Hour Comedy Hour.
