An American actress, born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Hauts-de-Seine, France, on September 11, 1923, as Betsy Gordon Drake. She is known for Every Girl Should Be Married (1948), The Second Woman (1950), Room for One More (1952), and Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter? (1957). She survived the sinking of SS Andrea Doria, but she lost more than 200 thousand dollars in the form of jewelry in addition to the manuscript of a book she was writing. Betsy Drake married the English-American actor Cary Grant (1949-1962), and after their divorce, she received more than one million dollars and a percentage of the 13 films that he made during their marriage.
