A Danish pianist and composer, born in Frederiksberg, Denmark. He formed a jazz band after World War II and founded the record label Metronome Records in 1950. He worked extensively on dozens of films before his solo success, with Alley Cat winning a Grammy Award for Best Rock and Roll Recording. He composed the music for films including Flickering Lights (2000), Klown (2010), and Slingrevalsen (1981). He died on 28 July 2020.
