A British actress of Indian origins, born in Scotland, United Kingdom. She is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. She began her acting career in the amateur theatre, before being discovered by the Indian photographer Farrokh Chothia. After that, she played many roles in Bollywood cinema.
