He is an American actor, born on January 4, 1973, in Detroit, Michigan, USA. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Michigan, where he also directed a musical ensemble. He won the Emerging Artist Award from the University's School of Music, Theatre, and Dance Alumni Society. He also studied drama at New York's Juilliard School. He is known for Bates Motel (2016-2017), The Divide (2014), and Whiplash (2014).
