An American actor. He is famous for his collaboration with the English actor Charlie Chaplin. He was born in San Francisco, California, United States. He began his artistic career in theater in the 1880s, then began working with actor Charlie Chaplin in The Rink (1916). They also collaborated on a number of artistic productions, such as Modern Times (1936).
