An American actor, director, and screenwriter, born in New York, USA. He directed many works over five decades. Gordon began his artistic career as a child actor. He appeared in some films directed by Maurice Costello. He also got a job at Hal Roach Studios and participated in a few scenes in the company's films. He is known for Them! (1954), In Like Flint (1967), and Fortunes of Captain Blood (1950).
