An American actor, born in Brooklyn, New York, USA as Gerard Kenneth Tierney. He studied at St. Michael High School, and during World War II, he enlisted as a naval aviation mechanic, and after his discharge from the army, he studied drama at the Bliss-Hayden School of Acting. At the late fifties, he appeared in a number of TV series. He married Mary Lizabeth Tirony (1967-1985) and had two children. Among his credits are He Walked by Night (1948), Shotgun Slade (1959), The China Syndrome (1979), and Gremlins (1984). He died of pulmonary fibrosis, on April 16, 1985 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
