An English actress whose career spanned seven decades on stage, and in films and television. She was born on December 18, 1888 at 23. She acted in silent films before the beginning of the First World War. She also became a theatrical manager from 1917 to 1933. She is best known for My Fair Lady(1964), Rebecca (1940), The Song of Bernadette (1943), Separate Tables (1958), The Bishop's Wife (1947), and The Pirate (1948). She died on 17 November 1971 in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England, UK.
