An American actor, dancer, and singer, born in Florida, United States. He attended the High School of Performing Arts, where he studied dance under some prominent names, such as Martha Graham and George Balanchine. After graduation, he participated in a large number of plays, such as Wicked, I'm Not Rappaport, and Pippin, for which he won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. His other credits include All That Jazz (1979) and Roots (1977).
