An American actor, professor, and novelist, born in New York State, USA. After graduating from high school, he joined the University of New Hampshire, but his university degree was withheld due to his involvement in a military rehabilitation program. Therefore, he moved to New York State to study social research and obtained a BA in English. He originally intended to become a journalist but went into acting after obtaining a Fulbright Cultural Scholarship. After graduating, he joined the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Among his artistic works is the film Dirty Harry in 1971, in addition to a variety of theatrical and cinematic roles.
