An American actor, born in Dallas, Texas, USA. He studied engineering at Southern Methodist University, before leaving to join the US Navy during World War II. After returning from the war, he studied acting under Lee Strasberg and appeared in Broadway shows in New York State. His television career began in films such as As the World Turns (1956), A World Apart (1970), One Summer Love (1976), and Promises in the Dark (1979).
