An Egyptian novelist, translator and journalist, born in Cairo in 1939. He obtained his BA from the Faculty of Law at Cairo University in 1960. He has many novels such as "Children without Tears", and "Moon on the Swamp". Among his collections of stories are: "Friday Morning",...Read more and "The Eternal Traveler". He co-wrote the screenplay for the movie The Mummy (1969) with director and writer Shadi Abdel Salam. He passed away in 2016 at the age of 77.
