English actress, born in 1974 in Formby, Merseyside, England. She studied drama at the University of Bristol. She has worked at the National Theatre, Liverpool Theatre, and Oxford Theatre. She started her career in 2001 with the documentary series The Six Wives of Henry VIII. She's known for Doctor Who, Sense8, and Suffragette.
