An Egyptian director who studied directing at the Cairo Higher Institute of Cinema in 1986. He made many documentaries that won a number of awards, including "The Snake Catcher." He won the award for Best Documentary for "The Snake Catcher" at the 1st Arab Film Festival in 1985, and he also won the award for Best Documentary in 1986 for "The Upper Egypt Train" at the same festival. He is known for in Houseboat No. 70 (1982) and The Savage (1979).
