An American writer, producer, director, and actor, born in Hammond, Indiana, USA. His family moved to Hampton, southwest Arkansas in the mid-1960s. He worked as an art director at KTAL-TV in Louisiana and later became an officer during his military service. He hosted a children's cartoon program on a television station, and then started his modeling business, before making his debut. He participated in many artistic works, such as the movie The Legend of Boggy Creek (1972), Grayeagle (1977), and Sudden Impact (1983), starring actor Clint Eastwood.
