A British writer of Russian origin, born in Spitalfields, London, United Kingdom. He studied at Downing College, Cambridge. He also wrote for the university magazine and worked in a library during his studies. He began to write more widely after leaving Cambridge. His plays include “The Samson Riddle,” “The Bespoke Overcoat,” and “The Hebrew Lesson.” He died in Cork, Ireland.
