A Peruvian actress, born on August 16, 1944 in Peru. She spent part of her youth in Cusco, where she began studying chemistry at the National University of Saint Anthony the Abbot in Cuzco, then she received an invitation to make a radio drama on Radio Cusco, which led her to drop out, after that she moved to Lima and entered the Escuela Nacional de Arte Escénico. In 1958, she graduated from the University of San Marcos, majoring in chemistry. In 1972, she began a series of performances on the work of César Vallejo, after which she did performances on stages around the world, and also in schools, arenas, and prisons in America and Europe. She then worked for many years on Channel 7 in Lima (TV Peru), and also on the local radio. She was married to actor Mario Velásquez as they grew up together between theater and tours. Her works include The Motorcycle Diaries (2004) and Reportaje a la muerte (1993).
