Alexandra Shipp is an American actress of Kenyan origin, who was born on July 16, 1991. She started her career in 2009 by participating in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. Shipp also participated in Drumline: A New Beat (2014), Straight Outta Compton (2015), and X-Men: Apocalypse (2016). She was nominated for the Breakout Star Award at the Teen Choice Awards in 2016.
