A Scottish director, writer, and painter, born in Glasgow, Scotland. He attended The Glasgow School of Art, where he studied mural painting, and later became an art teacher and cartoonist. He also studied at the National Academy of Cinema and Television and presented a short film entitled Passing Glory. He also directed Small Faces, Trojan Eddie, and Pure.
