Diana Hyland was born in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, USA, on January 25, 1936. Diana appeared on stage in her teens, before graduating from Cleveland High School. In 1955, she moved to New York, where she worked on television and Broadway. Her first movie was One Man's Way (1964), then she appeared two years later in the movies The Chase (1966) and Smoky (1966) while continuing her work in theater and television. Among her most notable works are Peyton Place (1964), The Chase (1966), Ritual of Evil (1976), and The Boy in the Plastic Bubble (1976). She died on March 27, 1977, in Los Angeles, California, of breast cancer.
