A British actress, born in Hereford, England, and raised in Manchester, England. She first performed at Floral Hall, Bridlington and later, she joined the National Theatre in London. She participated in the radio program Educating Archie for the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). She is known for The Killing of Sister George (1968) and Yellowbeard (1983).
