British actress, born in Hereford, England, and grew up in Manchester, England. She performed in the summer in Floral Hall, Bridlington and later, she joined the National Theatre in London. She participated in the radio program Educating Archie for the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). She is known for The Killing of Sister George (1968) and Yellowbeard (1983).
