A Tunisian writer and director, born in El Oudiane, Tunisia on July 1, 1949. After completing her studies in Sfax, she went to study literature in Tunis. She also studied cinema in Brussels, where she decided to live, and worked as an assistant at RTBF production company and on the Belgian Francophone radio. In 1979, she wrote her first screenplay titled Sama and began shooting it in 1982, after which she made several documentaries.
