Melina Eleni Kanakaredes is an American actress of Greek origins. She was born in Akron, Ohio on April 23, 1967. She made her acting debut at age eight in a theatrical production. She graduated in 1989 with a degree in theater from Point Park College in Pittsburgh. She is known for CSI: NY (2004-2010), 15 Minutes (2001), and Providence (1999-2002).
