An Italian director and writer, born in Busto Arsizio, Italy. He began his life as a correspondent for film magazines before directing his first film Il tunnel sotto il mondo in 1969. Then, he began working on the script of the film Four Flies on Gray Velvet in 1971. He also wrote several novels and short stories.
