An American singer and songwriter, born in Arkansas, USA. She studied piano for over nine years, and her family moved several times between Florida and Illinois until settling in Arkansas, where she started the band Evanescence with Ben Moody and David Hodges. She wrote the song Hello from the album Fallen and Like You from the album The Open Door for her late sister. She provided voice acting for the animated film Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar and the soundtrack to the film War Story.
