An Italian actor and writer, born on July 3, 1912, in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. Among his notable works are The Organizer (1963), The Wages of Fear (1953) and The Tartars (1961). His brother was actor Piero Lulli. He was very active in Italian and French cinema, usually in character roles or the parts of villains. He was discovered by director Alberto Lattuada, who gave him his first role in The Bandit (1946). He held degrees in law and philosophy. He fought with anti-fascist supporters during World War II. He died on May 23, 1970, in Rome, Lazio, Italy.
