An Australian actress, born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She began her artistic career in 1985, appearing on screen for the first time in the television series The Henderson Kids. She won the Best Actress Award at the 1988 Australian Film Institute Awards for her role in Mull. She married Australian director of photography Cameron Barnett. She is known for The Doctor Blake Mysteries (2013–2018) and Metal Skin (1994).
