An American comic book writer and editor, born in Jackson, Missouri, United States. He was the first editor-in-chief to succeed Stan Lee at Marvel Comics. He introduced the pulp magazine hero "Conan the Barbarian" into American comics through a series that added to the story of the character created by Robert E. Howard. He worked for a long time on the X-Men and the Avengers comic books. He is known for Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) and Conan the Destroyer (1984).
