A British-American actress born in Hackney, London, United Kingdom. She graduated from Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and began her career by joining the Connaught Theatre in 1977, then moved to the United States. She's known for playing Counselor Deanna Troi in the Star Trek franchise, including Star Trek: Generations (1994).
