A Scottish director and producer, born in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom. He studied at Hutchesons' Grammar School in Glasgow, then started studying music at Harvard University but decided to focus on drama. He participated in a number of works, such as The Omega Factor (1979), Inspector Morse (1987-1988), and Doctor Who (1979-1980).
