British singer, musician, lyricist, and member of the British band The Beatles. He was born in Liverpool, England, and began writing songs when he was sixteen years old. He wrote more than two hundred lyric poems, and among his poems were those included in the song “Yesterday” by...Read more the Beatles in 1965, in addition to "Can't Buy Me Love" and several other songs. When the Beatles stopped producing songs in 1970, he continued alone and produced many songs, as well as forming his own band. It was called “Wings” with his wife Linda, and their best-known album was "Band on the Run." The band was also well-known for the James Bond movie song "Live and Let Die," which McCartney wrote.
