A Canadian-American director and television presenter, born on November 13, 1923 in Edmonton, Canada. He began his career in 1955. He directed 33 films during his 50-year career. He is also a Golden Globe winner. He is known for directing the movie Love Story. He worked in The Champ (1979), See No Evil, Hear No Evil (1989), and The Babe (1992). He died on August 17, 2016, Los Angeles, California at the age of 92.
