An Australian actress, born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She then moved to Australia with her family when she was twelve years old. She started training as a ballet dancer at the age of two. When she was fourteen years old, she joined the Brent Street School of Performing Arts, where she learned dancing and acting. She first appeared on screen in 2007, through her participation in the movie Razzle Dazzle. She won several awards, the most notable of which are the Fedeora Award for Best Actress in a Debut Film in 2016 at the Venice Film Festival for her role in the film Hounds of Love, and the Women's Image Network Award for Actress Drama Series in 2020 for her role in the series NOS4A2. She is also known for The Goldfinch (2019).
