Broderick Crawford was an American actor who was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 12/9/1911 as William Broderick Crawford. He won an Academy Award in 1950, also won two Golden Globes and NYFCC, and was awarded two Stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960 for his work in film and television. Among his most important roles are in: All the King's Men(1949) Born Yesterday (1950), Highway Patrol (1955), and King of Diamonds(1961). Broderick Crawford was born in an artistic house, where his parents worked as performers in theatrical performances, and his mother worked in comedies. He began his artistic career by working in Broadway theaters, then moved to Hollywood and appeared in his first movie Woman Chases Man in 1937. After the end of the World War, he continued his cinematic work until he took a roles in the movie All the King's Men, winning the Academy Award and the New York Film Critics Award for Best Actor.
