Egyptian author, born on February 7, 1929 in Dakahlia Governorate, Egypt. He obtained a BA in teaching from the Faculty of Arabic Language in 1959. He worked as a journalist in the Radio and Television Magazine, Al-Shahr magazine, and Al Joumhouria newspaper until 1969. He was the editor-in-chief of Ibdaa magazine from 1983 until 1993. He received several awards, such as the State’s Incentive Award in Arts from the Supreme Council of Culture in 1970, and the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Award in UAE in 1994 for his stories. He died on February 26, 2015, after a struggle with illness.
