She was an Egyptian singer who was born as Bedour Mostafa Ahmed El Shamy in 1930 in Alexandria. She joined the radio in Alexandria in 1954 after passing a test in front of a committee from the Egyptian Radio, who recommended that she sing country songs, not folk, which hindered her career for years. She appeared in the movie Kingdom of Hallucinations (1983). Moreover, she sang a wide range of songs. She died on May 27, 1989.
