A Turkish film director, actor, and producer, who won the Best Director Award at the 12th Dhaka International Film Festival. He was born to a customs official. He studied art history at Hacettepe University. He has a long career as he directed several films. He is known for Propaganda (1999), Abbas in Flower (1982), Berlin in Berlin (1993), and Romantik (2007).
