A German actor and director, born in Thuringia, Germany. He attended school in his hometown before beginning professional training in designing signs and posters in 1961. After that, he worked as a technician at Erfurt, and continued to work there until 1964. During his final year of study in high school, he participated in a movie, then studied acting at the State Theatre School in Berlin.
