An American singer, songwriter, composer, and actress, born in Des Moines, United States. She is of African-American, Irish, and Irish descent. Her family moved from Des Moines to Atlanta, Georgia. She worked as a manicurist and in a hair salon in Atlanta. She appeared in the movies House Party 3 (1994), Belly (1998), and The Last Days of Left Eye (2007).
