She lived under the care of her grandmother and then entered a...Read more convent in Paris from 1818 to 1820. She co-wrote her first novel "Rose et Blanche" with Jules Sandeau. Her other literary works include The Bagpipers (1853), Indiana (1832) and A Winter in Majorca (1841). She died on June 8, 1876.
