A director and writer of Palestinian origins, who lives in Germany. He started out as a writer with a collection of short stories titled "Zowwada," which won the A.M. Qattan Foundation's Young Writer Award in 2004 in Palestine. His first short film was House (2011), which he directed while studying for a master’s degree in digital media at the University of Arts Bremen in Germany. It also won many important awards in Europe, the United States of America, Iran, and Jordan. He completed his second master's thesis in the field of cinema, during which time he wrote and directed two short films, Circle and Maa Baa, and also began writing his first feature film. His graduation project, Ayny, won the Gold Medal for Foreign Animation at the Student Academy Awards.
